Are they open Christmas Eve??
Delightful staff! The outdoor eating area is shaded by trees. The food is exceptional and very generous.
MoreOne of our best New Mexican meals ever. It's apparent many locals eat here. Friendly and helpful staff, it is worth a visit
MoreDelicious New Mexican fare. Order the chicken green chili burrito!
Great ambiance, an old building in a historic plaza. The staff is wonderful, the servings are large and the prices are great. When people ask for my recommendation for "the best New Mexican food" in Taos...Ranchos Plaza Grill is were I send them.
MoreThis is certainly a better Mexican restaurant compared to Orlando's (which a lot of people recommended me). The foods here are way tastier, better pricing and greater quantities! Most importantly they provided free buns (i forgot what it is called)... very good!!!! will certainly come back again!
MoreFavorite New Mexican spot ever. Amazing
So amazing. Green chilies Yahoo!
This place is amazing. Fantastic food and service. Try the cheese enchiladas with red chili! We'll be sure to go here any time we're in the Taos area.
MoreFYI, They do not serve alcohol. They do serve complimentary sopapillas with your meal. Good food and food serve. No complimentary chips and salsa.
MoreFantastic place the food is absolutely New Mexico authentic and the folks that own and run the place are wonderful
MoreWe've been here a bunch of times, their food is always very good and we enjoy the atmosphere. If you find yourself in Taos make it a point and get to the south side and Ranchos Grill. You won't regret it.
MoreA great selection of plates where there's nothing on the menu you can go wrong with.. everything is good.. the sopapillas here are amazing
MoreBest New Mexican food I've ever had. Adovada enchiladas were amazing. Sopapillas were good. Salsa was excellent.
MoreThis building was my maternal grandmother's childhood home! Always great to go there and the food is delicious!!
MoreGreat food, very friendly staff, I had the burrito smothered in green chili
Fantastic, authentic New Mexican food. Their chili is incredibly rich and delicious and goes well with everything on the menu we tried. Service was great, prices were great, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area
MoreThe enchiladas were amazing. The stuffed sopapilla was so rich and flavorful. Deserves it ranking as #1 on yelp.
MoreOMG! We have been in Taos 5 days now, and have eaten out 2 times a day at a different place each time. All were good or better, but the Ranchos Plaza Grill takes 1st place. See my pictures. The chips, salsa and guacamole were out of this world. I'm 74 years old and have traveled a lot and eaten out at big places and small, well known and obscure. Not only is the food here exquisite the place is historic. A little run-down, but what can you expect of a building that is hundreds of years old all authentic. Portions were huge. My chicken tostadas were delicious, the wife's cheese enchilada was also. The guacamole is probably the best I've ever had, and the salsa may be also. I'm telling you this was eye opening. Hundreds of years old and in a constant state of preservation, the plaza is home to several businesses, a historic Catholic church, and many Adobe casa's. Worth a stop and walk through.
MoreExceptional Green Chile and burritos. Best in the 505.
Great food, great service and over all great experience!
The meal was fantastic, served with a giant sopapilla. Flavors were strong and not overly hot.
MoreThe food is Great here. A good place for large groups. The bus boy was so nice. Only thing I don't understand is that the waiters don't tip there bus boys for helping them out? They work hard too and every job that I have had gives the bus boys something.
MoreCanβt wait to come back. Delicious!!
We sat in the courtyard on a beautiful New Mexico late summer evening. The staff were very nice and the food was good. This had been explained to us as a Spanish food place and for us in Arizona it was definitely more mexican. They do not serve alcohol so if that is what you are looking for this is not the place. If you sit outside don't miss going into the house and check out the murals on the walls.
MoreBest authentic New Mexican Cuisine we've ever tried. The fry bread is dangerous! One bite and you'll eat the entire two or three loaves. The building and interior are nothing to write home about but some of the wall murals are excellent. Wait staff was very very good. Sad they don't offer beer.
MoreSuperb northern NM cuisine. Excellent service. Reasonable prices. Extraordinary cultural surroundings.
MoreBest stuffed sopapillas, chile is spicy but not too hot, go for Christmas style best of both worlds.
MoreFamily owned and always amazing food
Best food of ALL TIME! PERIOD.
Fast service, big portions, tasty food, and friendly wait staff. I appreciated the vegetarian green chilli sauce and enjoyed the vegetable enchiladas. Fry bread or Sopapilla was slightly different and close to a beignet in taste. We received a bottle of honey with the bread and the combination was indeed delicious. Everything was good if not great but a restaurant without beer/wine license will not get 5 stars.
MoreI love the rasberry Tea! Please tell me where I can buy some!!!!
This is a very good New Mexican restaurant. Feels very cozy and service is very personal, you can only expect that in a family owned and operated restaurant. Carne adobada was very good.
MoreHolly Molly.. the absolute delicious mexican food we ever had, that im thinking about this place after an year of visiting. This is THE BEST place and i carve for their sopapillas, green chili soup.. delicious.. cant wait to go back there again..
MoreGreat service as soon as you walk through the door. A nice place to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
MoreThe blue corn enchiladas are FANTASTIC and the sopapillas are huge!
Still one of my fav carne adovada places in NM.
Phenomenal food. Would definitely get shrimp quesadilla again and the nachos.Note there is no booze because the church is too close, was the explanation.Cutest stray cats ever sitting around outside. Fluffy and in bread position π
MoreThis is a quaint New Mexican restaurant occupying an old adobe house. Small dining rooms, murals in several places and a kiva fireplace close to the door. The three times I have been there all of the food has been very flavorful and well prepared. The noise level is average and the service is adequate or better. They they are open for lunch and dinner and do not sell any alcoholic beverages. Besides really good food, the murals are a second reason to visit. After you are full, visit the St. Francis de Assisi church since you are parked in its lot. There is more parking behind the church where the church entry is located.
MoreGood service. The chicken tacos I got were the best tacos I have ever had! Nice and quiet and warm! Good authentic Mexican taste! Definitely better than Orlandoβs!
MoreAmazing find right next to St. Francis church. Great food and the outdoor seating was perfect.
MoreGreat play some good food
Great food π
I think I posted earlier. As I said, this is a place we really enjoy. Taos has a lot of different types of restaurants, so when we're in the mood for northern New Mexican food, this is high on our list. You can eat inside or when the weather is warm you be seated on the patio. Nice
MoreDelicious and authentic Taos experience. By far some of the best Northern New Mexican cuisine I've ever had. Plus you get a sopapilla with your entree. Lovely patio seating, or room inside for your family gathering.
MoreSo good place to eat and the place is nice.
Always a best choice for Mexican food!
One of the best for NM food in the Taos area.
Off the beaten trail but the food was so worth it. Fast, friendly service. Super cute patio. Recommend the stuffed sopapillas. Yum!
MoreBest restaurant in Taos. Great food, generous portions at affordable price. This is a Mexican inspired restaurant, everything we tried on the menu was delicious. A must try in Taos.
MoreExcellent food and a local favourite
